Privacy Policy
Last updated: 1 June 2026
This policy explains what personal data GoTravelCC collects, why we collect it, who we share it with and what rights you have over it. It applies to our website, our travel management services and every booking we make on your behalf.
1. Who we are
GoTravelCC (“GoTravelCC”, “we”, “us”) is a travel management company registered in Nigeria, operating as a club concierge company. We act as a data controller for the personal data described in this policy, and in some cases as a data processor on behalf of the corporate clients whose travel programmes we manage.
Registered address: 2nd Floor, Wing-A, Motorways Avenue, Alausa, Ikeja, Lagos 100212, Nigeria.
2. Information we collect
We collect the following categories of personal data:
Identity and contact data — full name as shown on travel documents, date of birth, gender, nationality, email address, telephone numbers and postal address.
Travel document data — passport number and expiry, visa details, national identity numbers, and where required by an airline or destination, health or vaccination information.
Booking and itinerary data — flights, hotels, ground transport, car hire, PNR records, loyalty programme numbers, seat and meal preferences, and travel history.
Payment data — billing details and transaction records. Full card numbers are processed by our payment providers and are not stored on GoTravelCC systems.
Corporate programme data — employer, cost centre, department, approver chain, travel policy tier and expense records, where you travel under a managed corporate programme.
Technical data — IP address, browser type, device identifiers and pages visited, collected through cookies and similar technologies.
3. How we collect it
Most personal data comes directly from you, or from your employer or travel booker where you travel under a corporate programme. We also receive data from airlines, hotels and other suppliers when confirming, amending or cancelling a booking, and from our technology partners such as global distribution systems.
4. Why we use your data
We process personal data on the following bases:
Performance of a contract — to arrange, confirm, amend and cancel travel; to issue tickets and travel documents; to process payments and refunds.
Legitimate interests — to provide duty-of-care and traveller-tracking support, to manage our client relationships, to improve our services, and to prevent fraud.
Legal obligation — to meet immigration, border-control, aviation-security, tax and anti-money-laundering requirements, including Advance Passenger Information mandated by destination governments.
Consent — to send marketing communications, and to process special-category data such as health or dietary information where required for your journey. You may withdraw consent at any time.
5. Who we share it with
We share personal data only as far as necessary to deliver your travel:
• Airlines, hotels, ground-transport operators, car-hire firms and other travel suppliers.
• Global distribution systems and booking technology providers.
• Payment processors and financial institutions.
• Visa-processing agents and embassies, where you have asked us to support an application.
• Insurers and emergency-assistance providers.
• Your employer or its authorised travel and finance contacts, where you travel under a corporate programme.
• Government and law-enforcement bodies, where legally required.
GoTravelCC does not sell personal data, and does not share it with third parties for their own marketing purposes.
6. International transfers
Travel is inherently cross-border. Delivering your itinerary requires transferring personal data to suppliers and authorities in the countries you travel to or through, which may have data-protection standards that differ from Nigeria’s. Where we transfer data outside Nigeria, we rely on the safeguards permitted under the Nigeria Data Protection Act, including contractual protections with our suppliers and, where applicable, your informed consent.
7. How long we keep it
We retain booking and itinerary records for the duration of the client relationship and for a further six years, to meet tax, accounting and audit obligations. Passport and visa data is retained only while an active or forthcoming booking requires it. Marketing contact data is retained until you unsubscribe. Data no longer required is securely deleted or irreversibly anonymised.
8. How we protect it
We apply organisational and technical safeguards including access controls on a need-to-know basis, encryption of data in transit, secured booking platforms, confidentiality obligations on staff and suppliers, and regular review of our security practices. No transmission over the internet can be guaranteed completely secure, but we work to protect your data once it reaches us.
9. Your rights
Under the Nigeria Data Protection Act and comparable laws you may:
• Request access to the personal data we hold about you.
• Ask us to correct inaccurate or incomplete data.
• Request deletion, where we have no continuing legal or contractual reason to retain it.
• Object to or restrict certain processing, including direct marketing.
• Request a portable copy of data you provided to us.
• Withdraw consent at any time, without affecting processing already carried out.
Contact us using the details below and we will respond within 30 days. If you are not satisfied with our response, you may lodge a complaint with the Nigeria Data Protection Commission.
10. Cookies
Our website uses cookies to keep the site working, remember your preferences and understand how the site is used. You can manage your choices at any time through our cookie preferences page, or through your browser settings. Blocking essential cookies may affect how parts of the site function.
11. Children
Our services are directed at businesses and adult travellers. We collect data about children only when they are named as travellers on a booking made by a parent, guardian or corporate booker, and only to the extent needed to arrange that travel.
12. Changes to this policy
We review this policy regularly and will update it as our services, technology or legal obligations change. Material changes will be notified through our website or by email, and the “last updated” date above will always reflect the current version.
